Session for career counseling to begin from May 18

Second Pre-University (II PU) results are out and now it is time to choose a dream career for the students with more opportunities than before. The Hindu EducationPlus will be conducting its annual career counseling session for three weekends in 15 centres starting from May 18.

The initial round of the event will be held in Bangalore, Hassan, Hubli and Shimoga. It will further travel to KGF, Davangere, Belgaum, Bidar and Mysore on May 31 and conclude in Bellary, Udupi, Tumkur, Bijapur, Gulbarga and Mangalore on June 1.

The Common Entrance Test (CET) holds the key for admissions to government and government-quota seats in medical, engineering, dental and architecture courses in the State.

Other than the inclusion of admissions to farm science courses, students who appeared in the CET this year will be qualified for admissions to degree courses in B. Pharma and D. Pharma, first year and B. Pharma, second year (lateral entry) courses.

The interactive session will have the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) officials explaining procedures of online counseling and admission following CET.

Candidates will get a chance to hear from leading academicians, including general education experts on, various courses and career options available.

Session begins from 10 am to 1 pm. Students are requested to come 30 minutes early, as there will only be on the spot registration
