Congratulating the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana formation Day, Mr. K M Arifuddin Secretary Madina Education and Welfare Society said a long-pending dream is realized after the struggle of 60 years against injustice, discrepancy and deprivation of rights. A new era began from today. Mr. Arifuddin who is a veteran students’ leader of the 1969 separate Telangana movement and has made remarkable sacrifices for separate statehood; went to Rajmundry jail for 3 months said that veterans who made sacrifices for Telangana in the past are unforgettable.
1969 separate Telangana movement was the main struggle as media unlike today did not have a sway over public and government sectors. The sacrifices made at that time have been forgotten although more than 350 youth sacrificed their lives for Telangana then.
Mr. Arifuddin recounted that Muslim students and youth actively took part in Telangana movement 45 year ago and they also actively took part in recent Telangana Movement.
