Seperate ministry demanded for Telugu promotion

Hyderabad, Oct.30 (NSS): Telugu Bhashodyama Samakya Telangana Region secretary Aruvarangam Prabhakar has demanded the State government to set up a special Ministry and also constitute an Authority for developing and protecting Telugu language and implementing Telugu as the state official language.
Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday, Prabhakar urged the state government to appoint the district committees to take measures for development and protection of Telugu language. He wanted the state government to immediately release adequate funds to promote the language. He demanded the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to take the responsibility to protect and promote Telugu language and strictly implement it as official language in all the departments. He said the Ministers also should take steps for promotion of mother Tongue in their respective departments as was being done in Karnataka and Tamilnadu states. (NSS)
