Sentinelese tribe in Andaman Nicobar Islands kills American Tourist

New Delhi: An American Tourist who was likely on an adventurous trip was reportedly killed while touring one of the isolated Andaman and Nicobar island areas.

According to the Police, an isolated tribe on the islands is known to kill outsiders with bows and arrows who enter their area, India Today reports.

Police officer Vijay Singh said the Police has arrested seven fishermen for helping the American tourist visit the North Sentinel Island, a remote region where the isolated tribe lives.

Visit to this particular island is heavily restricted by the government.

The people living on the North Sentinel Island known as Sentinelese is a tribe that lives in a small forested island. The tribe is known to attack any outsider who tries to come near them.

The American tourist’s dead body was found by fishermen in the region.
