Mathura, May 11: Police today said it had solved the sensational bank robbery involving Rs 15 lakh within 24 hours with the arrest of two persons.
The son of a sweeper, working with the bank, along with his brother-in-law had been arrested and the entire stolen amount had been recovered, SSP B D Paulson said.
The Manager of the Indian Overseas Bank, Jait branch, had filed a complaint yesterday with police that Rs 15 lakh were missing from the strong room.
After stealing Rs 15 lakh, Rahul handed over the money to his brother-in-law, a resident of Haryana, the SSP said.
Both of them had been arrested and the entire booty recovered, he said.
