Business Unit Retail Liabilities
The key priorities for the Retail Bank are acquisition of new customers, ensuring we become the Primary Bank by meeting the financial needs of our customers, growing CASA & Retail Deposits and increasing cross-sell of all products offered by the Bank.
Job Purpose:
The Investment Counselor (IC) is responsible for facilitating the growth of investments business . He is a subject matter expert responsible for deepening the clients portfolios through regular portfolio reviews.
The IC would drive the P& L for investments ( and trading accounts ) for the bank .
He / She is the mentor for all the SRMs / RMs / PBs and other channels for investments for the cluster ( or group of clusters ) and shall work on imbibing investments into their DNA .
The IC is expected to perform all his functions within the regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities of the Role:-
1.Business Targets
AUM growth
Acquisition of C3 wealth NTWs
Revenue- investment & brokerage
ISA- New to wealth clients on mapped CASA base
SIP growth
2.Improve wealth business
Owns the training & development of all the resources in the region on all wealth related products & processes.
Formulates development of branch-wise wealth sales plans encompassing prospecting activities for acquisition & product pipelines on existing base
Track up-sell of wealth products on existing wealth base, with the help of BH & CH
Track cross-sell of wealth products on existing CASA & BB base with the help of BH & CH
Tracks delivery of counseling activities on existing wealth base
Track delivery of relationship management activities on existing wealth base
Ensure timely dissemination of information such as focus products & asset class views
Conducts branch visits to ensure that WM processes are adhered to
Conducts regular con-calls to train the team on new products
Mentor & groom SRMs/RMs/ PBs & handhold new employees in the system
Conduct joint business calls with CHs, BHs & SRMs/ RMS/PBs
Drive collaborative initiatives for acquisition of wealth clients
Track the business numbers on a regular basis
Schedule & update the Branch Banking Zonal head on achievement of business targets
3.Improve penetration / Minimise exodus of clients
The Investment Counselor
owns the portfolios of a region and shall counsel the clients on financial planning and proper portfolio allocation across asset classes.
Needs to be right to the clients portfolio. This should lead to client satisfaction .
Needs to meet all C4 + clients ( AUM >=25 lakhs ) once six months and shall assist the client with targeted portfolio actions .
shall jointly visit the client (part ownership) and the cunselor needs to influence both the Client and the RM to maintain a portfolio level approach rather than transactional approach , in the event minimizing churn .
He shall need to make 40 -45 physical client meetings a month to perform detailed portfolio reviews .
He is the second line of defence and shall questionable on every transaction done to a clients portfolio
