Mandatory
Cisco CCVP Voice or CCIE Certification
At least 8 years of experience in a technical support environment
In-depth understanding of Cisco Unified Communications applications (CallManager, Unity, IPCC Express)
In depth understanding of Voice over IP technologies and protocols (H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
In-depth understanding of Voice Gateways (SRST, MGCP fallback, H.323 and SIP dial plans, PSTN technologies, etc.) and Gatekeepers
In-depth understanding of Media Resources (Conference Bridges, Transcoding, MTP)
In-depth understanding of Quality of Service as it relates to Voice over IP (classification, marking, queuing, congestion avoidance, policing, shaping, link efficiency mechanisms, etc.)
Understanding of Cisco voice technology integration with Microsoft products (Exchange, OCS, etc.)
Understanding of IP addressing, and related standards/protocols
Understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP)
Understanding of switching protocols/methodologies (VLANs, VTP, Spanning-Tree, etc.)
Proven experience in troubleshooting environments which include Cisco Routers and Switches, and Cisco IP Telephony Infrastructure (Call Manager, Unity, etc.)
In-depth understanding and use of Dimension Data GSOA systems and tools (on-the-job training provided)
Desirable
Cisco Voice specializations (IP Communications Express, IP Contact Centre Express, IP Telephony Design, Rich Media Communications, Unified Presence, Unity Design, Unity Support)
Other Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIP, etc.)
Prior experience and/or training with regard to the ITIL Services Framework
Knowledge and skills in the area of Network Management (CiscoWorks, CUOM, CUSM, etc.)
Videoconferencing technologies (Tandberg, Cisco, Polycom, etc.)
Knowledge of third party voice applications (Broadsoft, ACME, IPFX, ARC, Zeacom)
Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix or Cisco VXI
Experience with high-density computing platforms such as Cisco UCS, HP and IBM Blade systems
Experience in the field of wireless site surveys, design, and deployment
Understanding of PABX-related technologies
