Hyderabad, Dec 22: Senior Congress leaders met party MP L Rajagopal, who has been on a fast for the past nine days in support of a united Andhra Pradesh, and urged him to call off his hunger strike. Most Popular
“We told him that we should follow the directives of the party. He said he would like to wait for the decision of the Congress high command and the Centre which is expected tomorrow,” senior Congress MLA J C Divakar Reddy told reporters at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences here.
Reddy was accompanied by MLA M Sashidhar Reddy and senior party leaders K R Amos and K Satnayarayana Raju.
Amos, a strong supporter for separate Telangana, said they have requested Rajagopal to call off his fast in the interest of state and party.
