Mumbai, October 02: The Shiv Sena has asked Muslims to accept the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
“The aggression by Babar cannot be an issue of faith for Muslims. Their commitment should be with Ayodhya. We are telling all intelligent, nationalistic Muslim brothers that enough is enough. Let the perennial disputes and bloodshed end,” an editorial in party organ Saamna said.
“Accept the court ruling with an open heart and stay away from those who indulge in inflammatory acts. Hindus and Muslims have paid a heavy price for riots… Let people know who are nationalistic and anti-national among you. Sri Ram has given you the opportunity to wipe the stigma of religious fundamentalism and anti-nationalism.”
The editorial added, “Even today, we hold the opinion that matters of faith should not be brought to court. But the Ram Janmabhoomi controversy and the faith in this regard is the strength of Hindus.”
