Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Dept. of Persian in collaboration with Consulate General Iran, Hyderabad is organizing a 3-day International Seminar on “The Contribution of Adil Shahis of Deccan in Promotion of Persian Language, Literature and Culture” from 26th to 28th February 2013.
The Inaugural Session will be held on 26th Feb. 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at DDE Auditorium. Padmashri Jagdish Mittal, Eminent Art Collector & Historian, will be the Chief Guest, Padmashri (Capt.) Prof. Sharaf-e-Alam, (Former, MMH Arabic & Perisan University, Patna, will be the Guest of Honour, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Shakeb, Formerly, Dept. of Indology, London University will deliver Keynote Address and Prof. Mohammad Miyan, Vice-Chancellor will preside over.
An exhibition of “Persian Heritage of Bijapur” by Archeological Survey of India, Nagpur, will also be inaugurated at CULLC before the commencement of seminar. A cultural programme “Mehfil-e-Qawwali” will be organized tomorrow evening at 8:00 p.m. at DDE Auditorium. Prof. Aziz Bano, HoD Persian and Coordinator Seminar has requested to attend.
