Srinagar, November 17: Opposition PDP today said it has created a space for the peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue by piloting an achievable formula. “PDP”s self-rule agenda offers the most pragmatic and viable solution to the Kashmir issue,” senior party leader Tariq Hameed Karra today said addressing the Peoples Democratic Party”s workers convention in Khansahib, 40 kms from here in Budgam district.
He said PDP leadership has been unequivocally speaking about the inevitability of resolving the Kashmir issue peacefully at various forums. “PDP strongly believes that any solution to the Kashmir problem can only be found through democratic and political means involving engagement and dialogue.
” Flaying the state government for failing to keep its pre-poll commitments, Karra alleged that the only “tangible achievement” of the present Government, till now, is institutionalisation of corruption. “The menace of corruption is assuming alarming proportions,” he said.
