Patna: Union Telecom Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said that a self proclaimed youth leader Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi must comment on the dismal show of his party’s youth wing, the NSUI, in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.
“This is our second victory. I heard that the parties of Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi got no seats. It is not for me to comment. The self proclaimed youth leader Rahul Gandhi must comment on this loss,” said Prasad.
He also took the opportunity to appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the victory of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the DUSU elections.
“The youth knows that the Prime Minister is working for the development of the country and the youth. People understand politics now-a-days and our work shows,” said Prasad.
BJP’s student wing ABVP swept the DUSU elections today by bagging all four positions with a margin of over 4,500 votes on each seat.
The ABVP won the posts of president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary defeating the Congress’ student wing NSUI and Aam Aadmi Party’s Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti ( CYSS). (ANI)
