An Ahmedi Muslim, Asad Shah claimed himself to be the prophet of Islam and thereby indulged in blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). A taxi driver of Uber, Tanveer Ahmed (32) killed Asad Shah. On the occasion of Easter, Asad Shah had congratulated his Christian friends.
The Attorney of Tanveer Ahmed read out to the media men the statement recorded by Tanveer Ahmed in which he confessed that he killed Asad Shah. The Sherif Court of Glasgow (UK) took Tanveer Ahmed in Judicial Custody. He is a taxi driver from Bradford. Tanveer Ahmed told that this killing has nothing do with Christianity. He further told that as a Muslim he has high regard for Prophet Jesus Christ. Asad Shah had posted two videos in 2014 in which he proclaimed himself as the prophet of Islam. Since then he was getting threats to his life.
