Self Employment Scheme for minorities, last date Jan. 31

Minority Welfare department has taken up measures on a war footing to ensure implementation of Self employment scheme within the stipulated time. Special secretary Minority Finance Corporation Syed Omer Jaleel after consultation with Prof. S A Shukoor Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation issued directions to the officials of all the districts in this connection. The last date to submit applications is January 31 and the applicants can approach executive directors of Minority Finance Corporation and District Minority Welfare Officers of their respective districts with their applications. Online facility has been provided for submission of applications.

The subsidy payable will be 60% of the unit cost limited to a maximum of Rs 1 lakh for SCs and STs and 50% of the unit cost limited to Rs 1 lakh for BCs, Minorities and Disabled.

Beneficiaries have to be in the age-group of 21 to 40 years. There is 33 percent reservation for women candidates.
