Selection of meritorious students

Hyderabad, May 21: Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Mohammad Ahmed Ullah said that state government is selecting meritorious students belonging to SC, ST and minority community who have obtained more than 400 marks. Aid will be provided for them for admission into prestigious junior colleges and they will also be provided with EAMCET coaching.

State government will bear annual expenses of Rs. 35000 per student for their fees, books, mess and other expenditures.

Besides payment of fees 3000 rupees pocket allowances will be given to them. He revealed that out of a total of 5500 selected candidates 5 percent quota is allotted for minority students. Out of the quota, 80 percent will be Muslims, 20 percent will be Christians, Sikhs and Budhist.
