A seer today claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought two years’ time for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya and threatened a campaign if it is not done within this timeframe.
“Discussions have been held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard and he has sought two years time,” Mahant of Akhil Bhartiya Digambar Akhara Suresh Das told reporters here about construction of Ram Temple.
He said if the Prime Minister fails to get the temple constructed during this period, then seers and saints would launch a campaign for the construction of the temple.
Noting that the Allahabad High Court had ruled in the favour of temple, Das expressed confidence that there will be favourable ruling even from the Supreme Court where the matter is pending.
Another seer Mahant Satyendra Das commented on Modi’s statement on Dadri incident and said it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister to ensure such incidents do not take place in the country.
He said if unfortunately any such incident occurs, then he should express grief.
Satyendra Das said that the incidents of cow slaughter in the country would only stop when it is declared as the national animal.
Cow meat should neither be consumed nor sold, he said.
Mahant of Hanuman Ghari Dharmadas attacked the SP government in Uttar Pradesh and alleged that riots were taking place in the state at the behest of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
