Seemandhra TD favors T: Anam

Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy today accused the Seemandhra Telugu Desam Party leaders of changing their stand in favor of Telangana statehood.

Talking to media persons in the Assembly lobbies after the House was adjourned for the day, the Finance Minister said Raghunath Reddy spoke in support of bifurcation during a debate on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill 2013 in the Assembly and continued debate amid protests of YSRCP against bifurcation. His speech was meant to extend support to Telangana TD leader, who raised his voice for bifurcation, Anam said.

Raghunath Reddy spoke in favor of the State bifurcation by detailing the steps which are supposed to be taken post bifurcation which is nothing but favoring statehood to Telangana, he said. Anam said, thus Seemanhdra leaders have changed their stance on the statehood issue. Anam also took exception to Dayakar Rao for claiming that their leader and TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu was committed for Telangana statehood. The minister said that Naidu was adopting dual standards on Telangana by encouraging their leaders to talk whatever they liked on the crucial issue. (NSS)
