Lok Sabha member from Nizamabad Madhu Yashki has said that the Seemandhras were carrying on the agitation only for Hyderabad city. The Congress leader was speaking at a ‘meet the press’ programme organised by the Telangana Journalists’ Forum here Wednesday. He contended that the capitalists of Seemandhra region were not thinking about the development and uplift of the downtrodden people. They were organizing the agitation only for their selfish interests.
Madhu Yashki opined that it is good for the people of both the regions if two States were created. It was not proper for some vested interests to create hatred and enmity between the people of the two regions, he added. He asserted that people of Seemandhra in Hyderabad need not be afraid of division of the State. (NSS)
