Seemandhra Leaders Seek Referendum On Hyderabad

Nellore MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy on Monday demanded that the Centre conduct a referendum on Hyderabad. He dubbed the Telangana leaders as selfish and cheats.

The Seemandhra leaders called on State Congress incharge Digvijay Singh here and pleaded with him not to bifurcate the State. Speaking to the media later, the Seemandhra leaders contended that actually the Rayalaseema and Andhra regions has lost heavily in the united Andhra Pradesh. He also ridiculed the Telangana leaders for using the word “sentiment” as an ointment. He also dubbed the TRS as “KCR & Co. Pvt Ltd”. He said the TDP was caught between Devil and Deep Sea and all those agitating for separate State were robbers. He also said Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao did not take a “U” turn on the Telangana issue.

Seemandhra Coordination committee leader minister Sailajanath said there was no other alternative than the united State. He said all Telugu-speaking people should remain united for all-round development of the State.

Another minister from Rayalaseema region Venkatesh hoped that the Union government would take an appropriate decision on Telangana keeping all issues f facing the country in view. (NSS)
