Seemandhra leaders (Including CM) to Resign on Jan 23: Pithani

January 23 deadline for debate on Telangana Draft Bill will sure turning out to be a ‘day for resignations’ en masse for Seeemandhra leaders opposing the bifurcation. And indeed Chief Minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy is no exception for this, if sources are to be believed. Kiran Reddy already made it clear that he will not remain in the post for failing to keep the state in tact. And it is likely that Kiran Reddy will put in his papers on Jan 23.

Minister Pithani Satyanarayana today said that all the Seemandhra leaders including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will be ready to resign en masse soon after deadline for debate on Telangana Draft Bill 2013 ends on January 23.

Addressing media persons at Secretariat, he categorically stated that a new party is essential to reflect the sentiments of the leaders and people of the region. Though we are not willing to float a new party on our own, it is the pressure being built by the public to do so, he observed. We will fight till the end to keep the state undivided, Pithani said adding that we may resign to our posts any moment after the debate concludes on Jan 23.
The Seemandhra leaders will seek extension of 60 days time for debating on Telangana Draft Bill as the given time is not enough to talk in detail, he said. The Chief Minister will deliver a speech to reflect the aspirations of all the regions, he said. Thus, he gave clarity that all the leaders opposing the bifurcation will put in their papers en masse and mount pressure on the Center. However he refused to disclose the name of the new party and its symbol and the persons behind it. The Minister also denied to admit that the Chief Minister and Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal are behind the new party. (NSS)
