Former MP Ravindra Naik today took serious exception to some “insane” Seemandhra leaders alleging that tribal leader and Union minister Balram Naik was not an ST.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, Ravindra Naik condemned the false allegation of Seemandhra leaders that Balram Naik, who played a key role in the bifurcation of State, was not an ST. He said they would file petitions before the Human Rights Commission, National SC, ST Commission and the police for seeking action against the erring Seemandhra leaders for making false allegations.
Ravindra Naik said some “mentally disturbed” Seemandhra leaders were resorting to false allegations against the Union minister out of jealousy. He also warned that the tribal community would show their power if the Seemandhra “liers” failed to mend their ways. The former tribal MP also demanded that the Congress party incorporate development of tribals in its manifesto. He also demanded that lambada thandas be made gram panchayats, 14 per cent political reservation to tribals, setting up of a board for development of tribal hamlets, opening of single-teacher schools in lambada thandas as part of literacy program and so on.
