Ms. Meera Kumar, Speaker of Lok Sabha has given appointment to six Congress MPs today. It may be noted that 8 MPs had decided to resign from parliament but they could not meet her on 24th September due to her sudden tour. She has given an appointment at 12 noon today in the central hall of the Parliament.
Talking to newsmen, Vijaywada M.P. of Congress Mr. L. Rajagopal told that 8 MPs have already tendered their resignations. They will now meet her and make a representation to accept those resignations. Mr. Arun Kumar, MP told that Seema Andhra agitation is in progress in 13 districts for the past two months and the pressure of the people is increasing to resign. It is therefore our responsibility to honour the sentiment of the people. We have met Congress High Command more than once and represented to review its decision on the formation of Telangana but Congress High Command has not paid attention to our demand.
