Kanpur, November 18: Security was tightened at a shopping mall here after some police officials got SMS threatening to blow it.
DIG BP Jogdand today told reporters that late last night, he and some of the police officers received an SMS, which threatened to blow off the Globus Shopping Mall here, after which the security was stepped up in and around the mall.
When police managed to trace the owner of the mobile through which the SMS was sent, it turned out to be Dhananjay Singh from Kidwainagar, police said.
On interrogation, Singh said that his mobile phone is with his wife, who is reportedly missing for last some days and claimed that he had no information about the threatening SMS.
