Vizag: Andhra Pradesh DGP RP Takur has informed that they have enhanced the security of the public representatives after the murder of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveshwara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma by Maoists.
Speaking to the media here today, Takur called upon the Maoists to shun violence and participate in the elections. The DGP said the Maoists admitted that shooting has taken place in AOB and announced that they were striving to become closer with the tribal population. He also warned that they will initiate stringent action against the people, who cultivated or transported ganja illegally.
