Security men say US national leaped from hotel: Police

Mumbai, March 22: City Police have recorded the statements of two security guards of a luxury hotel in suburban Powai from where an allegedly drunken 40-year-old American national had leaped out on Saturday morning sustaining grievous multiple injuries.

Momsen Curtis John, a cabin crew member of Northwest Airlines, had jumped from the first floor lobby of Renaissance Hotel and was undergoing treatment in Hiranandani hospital, police said today.

He received multiple injuries on his body, particularly on his jaw and hands, police said adding, they were yet to record the statement of Curtis as he was still unable to speak to them.

“We took note of the incident but neither registered an FIR nor a Non-Cognisable offence. After recording the statement of Curtis, we will take an appropriate step,” Powai Police Station Senior Inspector Ashok Jadhav said.
