Security lapse: CCTV footage of Modi-Ivanka dinner at Falaknuma Palace goes live on TV

Hyderabad: Although police had made tight security arrangements for Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017, it ended up with an embarrassment since local TV channels were able to live telecast CCTV footage of dinner at Falaknuma Palace.

According to the news published in TOI, local Telugu TV channels aired the live CCTV footage of the official dinner hosted by PM Modi for Ivanka Trump and delegates of GES at Falaknuma Palace.

This security lapse came to limelight when national media channels started showing live CCTV footage of Falaknuma Palace which was telecast by local Telugu news channels at 9:42 p.m.

As media was not allowed to show CCTV feed from inside the Palace, officials of PMO alerted Special Protection Group (SPG) which in turn asked Telangana Police officials to stop it.

Senior state officials immediately came into action and asked TV channels to stop live telecast of CCTV feed.

During the inquiry, it was found that the live telecast was done from command and control center at the office of the Commissioner of the Police, Hyderabad City.

This incident occurred as some police officials had allowed some media men to enter the command control center while the official dinner was going on at Falaknuma Palace.
