Lucknow, September 13: Security of the Allahabad High Court and the three judges who are to deliver the judgement in the sensitive Ayodhya title suit has been stepped up by the Uttar Pradesh government ahead of the verdict.
“Security at the Allahabad High Court, its Lucknow bench and the three judges has been enhanced keeping in view the September 24 judgement,” Additional Director General (Law and Order) Brijlal told reporters here.
Asked whether of one of the three judges have written a letter to the government demanding additional security, Secretary Home Deepak Kumar said “It is a security matter and such communication is a routine.”
“One platoon of PAC (about 20 personnel) and five CRPF personnel have been deployed at the residences of all the three judges, an escort and pilot car and one PSO each have also been provided to them,” Brijlal said.
