Faizabad, September 01: A fortnight before the Allahabad High Court’s verdict on Ayodhya issue, the administration is leaving nothing to chance, beefing up security here and in adjoining Ayodhya and has appealed for peace to both Hindus and Muslims asking them not to give importance to rumours.
Peace committees have been activated in almost all the areas of the twin towns covering the whole district and Special Police Officers from the public have been appointed, so that there is no communication gap between administration and members of the public during an emergency, Faizabad District Magistrate M P Agrawal and SSP RKS Rathore said.
There is no communal tension in the twin towns but some outsiders may try to pollute the atmosphere, the two officials said in a joint interview to PTI.
