police officials do not want to take any risk so increase the number of pickets. Six police pickets were set up on May 5, the day seven deaths were reported from the area. Two more pickets were added as a precautionary measure. Apart from the pickets, two mobile parties have also been deployed to keep tabs on the situation, Musheerabad station house officer P Venkata

Police pickets have been set up near Bilal masjid, Badi masjid and Anjuman masjid. A Blue Colts team has also been deployed, the SHO added.
Also, round-the-clock patrolling was being done, the police officer said.
Meanwhile, Central Crime Station (CCS) investigators began their probe into the Bholakpur water contamination incident.
Based on a complaint lodged by locals, the Musheerabad police registered a case against HMWS&SB authorities under section 304-A (Causing death due torash or negligent act) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on Wednesday.
In view of the gravity of the incident, the case has been transferred to the Central Crime Station (CCS).
CCS would nowlookintopersonsresponsibleforthewatercontaminationwhichclaimed eight lives so far. “The investigation has just begun and we will belooking into the criminal aspect of the whole incident,” DCP DD R S Praveen Kumar said.
