New Delhi, August 06: A security agency owner was beaten and robbed of Rs 20,000 in cash and gold ornaments in south-west Delhi, police said today.
The incident took place in Nehru Nagar last night when Shiv Kumar was driving home along with his friend Dev Kumar while returning from the house of the latter’s father, who had retired.
Three unknown men on two-wheelers intercepted his car and robbed him of Rs 20,000 and jewellery he was carrying, a police official said.
“One of them hit his car with a hockey-stick and broke the glass. When Kumar got down, two others joined him and demanded the money on knife point. They beat him up and robbed him,” the official said.
The robbers fled the scene abandoning a scooter they had come on.
Shiv Kumar runs a security agency in Badarpur area and even supplies bouncers on demand.
