The historic Secunderabad Clock Tower will be developed as a model junction.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar has directed the officials to study the feasibility of developing the junction without disturbing the Heritage structure. He also asked them to submit proposals for road widening works around the clock tower.
Besides the GHMC Commissioner, Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Jithender, HMR MD NVS Reddy and senior officials from HMWSSB, electricity, irrigation, R&B and other online department have inspected some of the ongoing works of Hyderabad Metro Rail project works in Secunderabad areas on Wednesday.
Somesh Kumar said that the main aim of the visit was to study the steps to be taken to ease traffic congestion in the area, especially in view of ongoing works of Hyderabad Metro Rail project. (INN)
