Secularism of Qutub Shahi period is a grand example for India

Dramas like “Dastan-e-Golconda” are a befitting reply to “Love Jihad” and “Ghar Wapsi” campaigns of the communal elements. The CDs of such dramas should be sent to the Central Institutions promoting national integration and communal harmony in order to face the dangers of communalism. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily who is the President of Fine Arts Academy while delivering Presidential Speech on the occasion of the inauguration of the program presented at Ravindra Bharati yesterday. He assured that he will extend all possible help in the preparation of CDs of this drama.

Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Dy. CM of Telangana State, Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy, Mr. Mohammed Qamaruddin, Retired Engineer-in-Chief also attended the function. In the drama the sentiments of love, sacrifice and affection with the non-Muslim Military Generals were presented. Noted singer Mr. Khan Athar presented the songs of Qutub Shahi period in his melodious voice. Noted poet, Mr. Aslam Farshoori conducted the meeting.

Continuing his speech, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that the legends of Qutub Shahi rulers could be spread throughout the world through interest. He offered the cooperation of Siasat Website which is views by more than 2 lakh viewers every day. He also said that secularism of Qutub Shahi period is a example for the entire country. It is like a bunch of flowers. If a flower of this bunch withers, the entire bouquet will be spoiled. He appreciated the hard work put in by the Artists of Fine Arts Academy. He said that if such programs are included in the Telangana Festival which is going to be organized next month, will promote national integration and will strengthen Ganga-Jamuna Civilization of Hyderabad.

He mentioned that the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali as Dy. CM is not only a matter of pride for the people of Telangana but also of the Muslims of the entire country. He suggested that instead of minor benefits, representation should be made to Dy. CM for resolving major issues of the Muslims. He congratulated Master Shafee and his colleagues for presenting this drama.

Addressing on this occasion, Mr. Mahmood Ali applauded the presentation of Fine Arts Academy and promised that he will make an effort to get this drama include in Telangana Festeval. He also promised that Govt. of Telangana will produce a film on Qutub Shahi rulers on the lines of Moghal-e- Azam in order to promote Ganga-Jamuna Civilization of Hyderabad. He also said that Govt. of Telangana cannot forget the contributions of Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi rulers. During the history of Andhra Regime, no ruler remembered their contributions. After the formation of separate Telangana state Mr. KCR selected Golconda for celebrating Independence Day in order to pay homage to Qutub Shahi rulers. He told that Dramas like “Dastan-e-Golconda” are the best sources to eradicate the misunderstandings spread against the Muslim rulers.
