According to Mufti Mahmood Zubair Qasimi inform that Secular Solidarity Alliance has been formed under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, National President of Jameatul Ulema which will function to preserve the secular structure of the country. This organization has been setup to save the country from going into the hands of communal elements. Last month Maulana Arshad Madani was elected as the President of this organization. He had announced the launch a campaign against communalism. A conference was also held in which Sankaracharya Keshav Anand Maharaj of Puri, Vincent M. Qusode, Archbishop, Swamy Agnivesh, Justice Fakaruddin, Sardar Tirluchand Singh, Mr. S.Y. Quraishi, Former Chief Election Commissioner, noted Journalist Mr. Kuldeep Nayyar, Mr. John Dayal, Maulana Rafeeq of Jamat-e-Islami, Maulana Asghar Ali Imam Mehdi of Jameat Ahl-e-Hadith.
Speaking on this occasion Mufti Ghiyasuddin Rahmani (A.P), Maulana Mahmood Ali Patel and others felt the need to unite.
