Hyderabad: Secular Front is in the mood of celebration after the impressive victory of secular parties and defeat of BJP in Karnataka by-elections. An effort to unite secular forces has once again been intensified. In this connection, Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam supremo Chandrababu Naidu is going to visit Bangalore today, i.e. on November 8. According to sources, he will meet the former prime minister and national president of JDS at his residence.
It must be recalled that recently he had also visited New Delhi to unite anti-BJP forces and met several key leaders. Led by Naidu, Telugu Desam Party was the largest pro-BJP party in the south, however, after the refusal of the centre to give special status to AP, Telugu Desam quit NDA.
TDP also says the centre didn’t fulfil its promise made to the state in the AP Reorganization Act.
