Mr Ahmed Nadeem,IAS,Secretary,Department of Minorities Welfare visited Haj house and inspected various minorities institutions. This is his first visit to the Haj House after assuming charge as secretary. He visited AP State Minorities Finance Corporation, State Haj Committee and Waqf Board and elicited the details from the concerned officials. He also pointed out the defects in the maintenance of Hajj House and issued necessary instructions for maintaining cleanliness. Professor SA Shukoor,Director Urdu Academy,Mr Vilayat Huseein,General Manager of AP State Minorities Finance Corporation,Mr MA Ghaffar,Deputy Secretary of Waqf Board and Mr Dilawar Ali welcomed Mr Nadeem.
They appraised him about the functioning of the various schemes. Mr Nadeem told that he would convene separate review meetings with each institution to make their functioning effective. He requested the officials to extend their cooperation in implementing the schemes effectively. He expressed his regret on piling up of files haphazardly and told the officials to keep the files in a proper order. He also inspected the computer section of the Waqf Board.He visited office of Commissioner of Minorities Welfare. He was informed that there is a shortage of staff in the office. Members of the public who were present on the occasion also expressed their grievances.
