While Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants to shift the State Secretariat to Erragada citing ‘Vaasthu Dosham”, senior Congress leader and former minister Dr P Shankar Rao is trying to prevent him by giving another superstitious reason.
Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises, Shankar Rao claimed that he saw a dream in the early hours on Thursday whose interpretation meant that shifting of Secretariat would bring bad luck for the entire Telangana State. Although he did not explain that exactly he saw in his dream, but he was firm on stopping KCR from shifting the Secretariat. He said shifting of nearly 100-year-old building for commercial purposed would be a bad omen for the new State of Telangana.
With folded hands, Shankar Rao appealed to the Chief Minister to drop his plans to shift the Secretariat. Calling KCR as his younger brother, he said that the Chief Minister should listen to his appeal if he was willing to avoid bad luck for Telangana. He said the Secretariat was visited by four Prime Ministers and about 16 Chief Ministers and hundreds of ministers functioned from the same premises.
Shankar Rao said that the government should also drop its plans to shift the Chest Hospital building and it could start a new Chest Hospital at Viqarabad. (INN)
