Secretariat may be sans Muslim officials in the coming days

Lack of minority officials in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana administration has become a matter of grave concern. Following the bifurcation of state all departments have been divided between two states. But lack of Muslim officers on high posts in secretariat is clearly visible. Government faces difficulty in appointing minority officers on high posts. Even for the appointment in Minority Welfare Department no Muslim officer is available.

If 4 percent reservations are seriously implemented the minority representation in the department can be increased. Minorities should be provided 4 percent reservations in all the appointments under Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. If government does not pay attention towards the matter secretariat will be without Muslim workers and officers in the coming days, and non minority officers will be deployed in Minority Welfare Department.
