Thousands of employees working in the State Secretariat on Thursday participated in the bandh call given by TRS against Rayala Telangana.
The employees boycotted the work in their office and also took out a rally from the Main Gate to the C-Block in the Secretariat premises. Speaking to media persons later, Secretariat Telangana Employees Union president Narendra Rao said that the Telangana region suffered injustices under the regime of Seemandhra rulers. He said the same exploitation would continue if two districts of Rayalaseema region were made a part of Telangana State. Therefore, he said that the people of Telangana out rightly rejects Rayala Telangana proposal. (INN)
