Kochi, Nov. 26 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court will today pronounce the quantum of punishment to the five Students Islamic Movements of India ( SIMI) activists in the secret meeting case of 2006.
The court had found them guilty yesterday under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
According to the police, the five had assembled at an auditorium near Kochi for anti-national activities.
17 people were earlier accused in the case. While 11 were acquitted, one who was 13 years at the time of arrest, is undergoing trial at a juvenile court. (ANI)
