Hyderabad, September 14: A Hindu girl in search of truth found out the path of divine guidance. She herself not only accepted Islam but forced her husband to realize the truth and embrace Islam.
Miss Swathi (22) a student of B.Tech (electronics) studying in an engineering college at Gandipet had started searching for truth. She used to put questions to her Muslim professor about life and universe. The professor tried to explain the Unity of God with reference to Vedas, Geetha, Bible and the Quran. Since the girl was persisting to know the truth, her inquisitiveness increased. Her efforts started in 2008. Seeing her interest, the professor gave her the English translation of the Quran. Swathi used to read the quran everyday in isolation. She lives in Attapur.
In her family She and her brother are the only youngsters. It is a rich businessman’s family which left no stone unturned in getting its children the best education. Despite Wealth and happiness, Swathi preferred to relinquish every comfort. Whenever the professor used to talk about reiligion, she and her brother used to listen to him with interest.
Meanwhile, swathi became the friend of a girl who had recently embranced Islam. This girl was from Doodh bowli area of old city. Their contacts with Islam increased. Her interest in Islam and the recitation of the Quran was exposed to her mother. Fearing their defame in society, her parents decided to get her married soon.
In this connection a matrimonial alliance of an engineer of BHEL was finalized. Ms. Swathi contacted the boy through e-mail and expressed her views that she believes in Allah. She put a condition to the boy that if he wants to marry her. He should get rid of the misunderstanding and comprehend Islam so that he could get the right path for salvation. She sent some of the English translations of the Quranic verses about idolatory to his would be husband Mr. Kumar who read first Surah “Naas”.
He got horrified with mention of satan. Kumar’s increasing interest worried his family members. They went to Swathi’s house along with some RSS workers and threatened her. As a result, restrictions were imposed on her to come out of her house. One month was spent in this way.
During this period, Kumar made an in-depth study about Islam and ultimately, he decided to embrace Islam. Meanwhile Ms. Swathi came out of her house and went to her neo-Muslim girl friend. Later, Mr. Kumar & Ms. Swathi approached a Qazi and got married. After embracing Islam, the girl was named as Tahir Fatima and the boy was became Abdur Rahim. They are now leading a peaceful life. They are now trying to persuade their family members to embrace Islam.
