In view of Telangana State Formation Day celebrations to be held on June 2 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad and at various locations under North Zone limits, Cordon & Search operation was being conducted at Secunderabad Railway Station and Jubilee Bus Stand, Secunderabad on May 31 from 6 pm.
A total of 400 police personnel were drafted for the operation to identify and apprehend trouble-mongers and also suspicious characters. Mass vehicles checking will be organised at Tivoli crossroads, Rasoolpura crossroads, Sweekar Upkar and Chilkalguda crossroads during the drive. Some 300 police personnel will be on the job of Checking and Frisking. Besides, 3000 police men are drafted for the bandobust at Parade Grounds, he added
Identified parking lots for the vehicles are at Gymkhana Grounds, Military Engineering Officer Premises. Pass holders are expected to carry vehicles passes issued to them to enable entries to designated enclosures. General public entries are from Eastern & Western Gates of Parade grounds entry is free for general public. In view of Public safety, it is requested not to bring hand bags/baggage’s, lunch box, flammable material or any other objectionable materials and on behalf of Hyderabad City Police, Telangana State, it is requested that the public may kindly please co-operate with the Police Personnel at all the security levels and make the above programme a grand success and incident free.
The celebrations venue i.e. Secunderabad Parade Grounds is completely under Electronic Surveillance, he added. (NSS)
