Stating that the issue of categorization of Scheduled Castes could be done only by the Union government, Telangana Warehousing Corporation chairman Samel on Monday lashed out at MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga for making meaningless allegations against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Reacting to MRPS president’s outbursts against the Chief Minister on the SC categorization issue, Samel warned that he would make 100 allegations against the former if he indulges in loose talk against the Chief Minister KCR, who was leaving no stone unturned for the uplift of the SCs and STs in the State. Reminding that Chief Minister KCR and Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali had called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier and submitted a memorandum for classification of SCs, Samel clarified that the Union government alone has authority to classify the SCs and not the State government.
Samel said the Sunday’s meeting of Madigas should have been organized in Andhra Pradesh. He also asked Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu to see that the SCs categorization Bill be introduced in Parliament immediately. If any objects to the Bill, the MRPS could question them vehemently. He also said nobody has business to talk about Constitution author Dr Ambedkar. (NSS)
