Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan said that the issue of special category status for Andhra Pradesh was a highly important issue and a contentious and that one needs to be highly cautious while speaking on the same.
Speaking to media persons, the actor who a few months ago demanded the Centre to grant SCS for the state, said that it was the responsibility of the Centre and the state to deal with the issue of SCS and demanded that it should be accorded at the earliest for state’s development. He said that the stae government, the Opposition and people’s representatives should all do their bit in achieving the SCS to the state.
He said that he would react on the issue only when the Centre gives a clear statement on the issue. He also said that the BJP and the Congress should ensure that the AP gets special status. (INN)
