Scribes burn Naidu in effigy all over Telangana

Journalists all over Telangana State today protested against the notices served on T Channel by the AP Government. They staged a dharna in front of AP DGP’s office on Saturday.
IJU Secretary-General Amar and others participated in the protest. Police arrested them and whisked away to Gandhinagar Police Station. Protesting against AP government’s move, journalists, T advocates, TRS leaders and party activists staged protests in all the ten districts in Telangana State.
In Karimnagar, the journalists staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate against notices served on T channel. The media personnel, TRS activists, advocates took out a rally in Debbak in Medak district and burned an effigy of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. They also took out a rally from the IB guest house at Sangareddy and burnt an effigy of Chandrababu at the local bus stand.
In Nizamabad district, the journalists burnt AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in effigy at Yellareddy, Kamareddy, Bodhan, Bichkund, Bhanswada, Kotagiri, Balkonda, Armoor, Tadvai and raised slogans against the AP CM. Journalists led by TUWJ organized rallies and protests in Wyra, Kothagudem, Paloncha, Illandu, Manuguru, Bhadrachalam, Sattupally and others areas in Khammam district.
Similarly, they protested at Choutuppal in Nalgonda district against the notices served on T Channel. The irate scribes in Medak and Adilabad districts burnt Chandrababu Naidu’s flexes alleging that the Naidu government was trying to fetter the media and throttle its voice. (NSS)
