Scribe Suresh Avdhoot dead

Suresh Avdhoot, Advisor-Editor of Marathi daily Deshdoot, died after suffering a heart attack in his office here today, according to his family members.

He was 72.

Avdhoot, who had worked in India Security Press, became a journalist after joining ‘Bhramar’, an eveninger in
Marathi from the city, and later Deshdoot as sub-editor.

He had also worked with daily ‘Gavkari’ and later with daily ‘Punyanagari’.

Avdhoot’s column ‘Bharari’ appearing in Deshdoot and later in Gavakari, was quite popular.

According to his family members, Avdhoot suffered heart attack this afternoon, following which he was rushed to
a private hospital where doctors declared him dead.

His funeral will take place tomorrow.

People from all walks of life, including journalists, political figures, and others offered their condolence to the
bereaved family.

Avdhoot is survived by wife, a son and a married daughter.
