Hyderabad, August 03: Tension prevailed for a while at Somajiguda Press Club here today, during the book release of ‘My Telugu Roots’ (Telugu version) by Nalamotu Chakravarthy, when a Telangana supporter hurled footwear at ABK Prasad, a veteran journalist who was the chief guest at the event.
The Tactivist went outrageous when the veteran journalist charged leaders of political parties with taking the lives of students for vested interests. “Show me one incident where an elected representative or his family members sacrificed his life for separate Telangana. The leaders say they would conduct counselling for students. In fact, it is not the students who need counselling but the leaders themselves,” he said.
At this point, the activist threw footwear at him stating ‘none speaking against Telangana will be spared.’ Soon, police force deployed outside the hall, rushed in and took the activist into custody and took him away in their jeep.
