Scrap MIM’s recognition, bar Owaisis from electoral contests: TPCC

The TPCC today appealed to the Election Commission to scrap recognition ti MIM party and announce MIM leaders Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi ineligible candidates to contest the elections.
TPCC official spokesperson G Niranjan addressed a letter in this regard to the Election Commission on Wednesday. He alleged in his letter that the MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has tried to rake up violence on January 29, 30 and 31. The PCC also submitted copies of the provocative speeches of Akbaruddin Owaisi on January 31 for initiating action. But no action was initiated yet, he alleged and said that the Election Commission totally failed to conduct elections efficiently.
The Election authorities have failed to initiate action against Asaduddin Owaisi, who indiscriminately roamed across the Old City along with 200 followers. He alleged that the police failed to stop Asaduddin Owaisi when he was coming towards Meer Chowk Police station, where he attacked Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir.
On the other hand, it was clear the government was showing discrimination towards Congress leaders and it was cleared with the visit of Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy to the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali. He questioned in the letter that as to why the government was afraid of initiating action against the MIM leaders and as to why the police remained as spectators when the attack was going on the Congress leaders.
