As per the direction of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao has spoken to General Manager of South Central Railways, to increase the number of trains from Hyderabad to different destinations vice versa in the AP State. Accordingly, the SCR GM assured to run special trains as requested by the AP Govt.
The Chief Secretary has conducted a meeting on “Sankrathi Sambaralu” celebrations during the festival season. Culture Secretary Shashank Goel was asked to camp at Tirupati and organize the State-level Sankranthi Sambaralu, including Food Festival depicting history of the regions of Andhra Pradesh, Rangavalli and cultural programs at Tirupati on a large scale. It was decided to release Rs 13 crores exclusively for the State-level function.
Similarly, it was also decided to release Rs 1 crore to each district administration today for organizing Sankatathi Sambaralu in the respective district headquarter and Rs 2 lakhs for Sankrathi celebration in the A.P. Secretariat. A meeting was conducted with all the hoteliers, who have agreed to participate in the State-level food festival and Sankranthi celebrations throughout the State, including Tirupati, where a State level function is organized.
