South Central Railway conducted the 28th Pension Adalat today ie., o¬n 16thDecember, 2013 at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad in which Headquarters, Secunderabad Division, Hyderabad Division and Work Shop participated. Pension Adalats were conducted by the other Divisions at their respective Headquaters.
At the Pension Adalat held at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad, Shri K L Pandey, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway was the Chief Guest.
Speaking o¬n the occasion, K. L. Pandey, said that at various Pension Adalats conducted o¬n SC Railway Zone, 678 cases were received from Railway pensioners for redressal, out of which 601 cases were disposed off and an amount of Rs. 29, 97, 000/- was paid to the pensioners. He asked the officials to look into the remaining cases and settle at the earliest and also asked the officials to hold empathy towards pensioners while dealing with their problems.
Usha Ashok Kumar, Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, South Central Railway, applauded the services being rendered by the Retired Pensioners Associations in solving the problems of pensioners. She also appealed to the staff to solve the grivences of pensioners expeditiously.
Sanjay Suri, Chief Personnel Officer South Central Railway informed that SCR is striving for prompt settlement system with 100% settlement o¬n the day of Retirement. SCR has issued 100% revised Pension Pay Orders pertaining to the implementation of 6th pay commission, he added.
