SCR conducted a fortress check at Kacheguda Railway Station on March 9, to control the menace of ticketless and irregular travel. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and the Commercial Officers of the division.
45 Ticket checking staff along with five Railway Protection Force personnel carried out the drive and checked the tickets of each passenger.
Eight express trains, 15 passenger trains and 60 MMTS and suburban trains were checked.
During the check, all the exit points were plugged to prevent the ticketless travelers escaping the check. A total of 488 cases were registered, of which 222 were registered for travelling without ticket, 19 cases for irregular travel, 244 cases for un-booked luggage and three cases for littering.
